Furniture at Seven Planet

In Where to buy on October 26, 2010 at 7:18 am

You can now find an example of  my children’s furniture at Seven Planet.

You can see a table and chair set in the children’s corner of the store, (where your child(ren) can play while you shop, woo hoo!) and you can also order my custom items through the store.

This place is definitely worth checking out! Described as the “first chain of green general stores,”  there’s something here for everyone.  Not only that, but you can feel guilt-free about your purchases because all products are: sustainable, earth and human friendly.

This is exactly the kind of place where I am very excited to feature my furniture line.

100% Reclaimed wood furniture

These new tables and chairs are made from clear vertical grain fir pulled from a 130 year old barn in French Glen, Oregon.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The table and chairs are bordered with beautiful redwood reclaimed from a 60 year old wheelchair ramp in LaGrande. There’s a lot of history in these little guys and zero impact on the environment.

The barn is a piece of Oregon’s history and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The barn is named, The Pete French Round Barn, after the cattle king, Pete French.  It is where he trained an estimated 300 to 1,000 horses in the winter months each year.

I gained these materials while working on a restorative project on the barn over this last summer.  So, with these special pieces your children and family will be able to create your own history atop an interesting piece of our state’s history.

I have also included some photos of some neat inlay ribbon storage boxes, that can double as sitting stools, that I recently created.  These boxes are made from pine, mahogany, cvg and redwood.

Table and chairs

In Furniture on September 17, 2010 at 9:27 pm

Here are some chairs and tables.

Three little chairs

Hope you like the design.

Seating for two?

They can be custom made to fit your child’s height.

A modern look.

Just measure the back of your child’s leg from heel to knee (If you can get them to hold still) and I’ll make a chair where their feet hit flat on the floor.

Little chair.
